Bloggity Blog #3 - April 2021

I left you last month with the view that my 2021 hadn't quite gotten to the start I was envisioning. One broken, dislocated and torn knee ligament later, I had my first day back at work yesterday in nearly 2.5 months!

And was then subsequently treated to four days off. Easter Bank holiday weekend, yo. ☺️

Now that I'm back to my regularly scheduled programming, it's back to earning some money during the day and desperately trying to scrabble around for some time to write in the evening. Because of this, I think it's important that I try to relax my writing/social media schedule juuuuuust a little bit here and allow myself to chill out.

And breathe.

Did I mention I was studying for my Vet Nursing Diploma, looking after 12 house rabbits, 2 cats, a doggo and a hapless husband? Cue 40+ hours working week on top and we have ourselves an exhausted Holly!

Anyway. Moving on.

The revised draft for Beneath the Door continues which only a few chapters left to go before my next round of BETA readers get a look in. After this, editing, editing, editing and hopefully seeking our a cover artist.

I've penned out the next four books and officially called the series collectively as the 'Chrysalis Saga'. An embodiment of seemingly normal people evolving from one form to another.

Additionally to this, I have The Secret Odyssey of Marceline Dubois in the penning phase and currently in talks with a huge publisher whether it would suit them or not. This will take precedence over The Wolf and the Cat currently, as the publishing timeline is slimming for manuscript selection.

I do love entering monthly competitions, but now I'm back working again, this will naturally just need to take a step back. This also includes staring longingly at the millions of other ideas waiting to be crafted on my computer. Yes. Stop pining.
