THE WOLF AND THE CAT

Montana Mouthful - February 2020 - "Romance Gone Wrong" issue

Chapter two of my current side project, eventually to be made into a full novel.

Take a peek:

"The human is still staring at me and I’m so tired and hungry, that she’s putting me on edge. I roughly take her by the shoulder and tug her all the way over to the car park, next to the bank. She doesn’t make a move to escape but she’s deliberately dragging her feet..."

DEAR PAST SELF

Pure Slush - May 2020 - "The Beautifullest" issue

Take a peek:

"It’s been a little while since I’ve checked in with you now, isn’t it? Honestly, sometimes I would just prefer to keep you tucked away inside the paper confines of my heart, so I can forget not only about you, but every cardboard tear-soaked memory that comes hand in hand with that pudgy little frame and naïve facial expression..."

In addition to 88 other wonderfully short works in the anthology, this issue can be purchased via the below link:

OLD FLOWERS

Resolutions Anthology - November 2021

Working alongside Bridge House Publishing, Old Flowers is a short story following starting anew.

Take a peek:

“I don’t think I can keep up with this guy,” I say between gritted teeth. “He muscles into my house, my life and my girl. Fabulous Mr. Perfect with his shiny Mercedes and bags of money dangling out of his ass.”

“I don’t think there’s anything we can do,” my companion says quietly, but he looks sympathetic. “That’s the beauty of letting go, son.”

“I’m not going to let her be taken by Mr. Oxford University.” I snap.

“It’s not your decision,” is the calm reply and the bowler hat comes off again as he rolls it from one hand to the other. I say nothing more but continue to stare into the inky sea and think about how wrong he is.
